Thermal baths, Spas BudapestWe would like to warn you, that the baths and spas of Budapest are NOT GAY places. Those are public baths. The sex nowhere are allowed. If you have some action on the shower places PLEASE BE discreet in every case. Almost in every baths min. 10%-20% of the visitors are gay (except of Kiraly bath, where 99 % are gay).Kiraly Bath (Turkish bath)Address: 2nd district, Fő u. 84. Opening time of the thermal bath area: Every 2nd days for men only. Monday, Wednesday, Friday only for women 6-20. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday only for men 9-20. Entrance: 2300.- HUF (working a repay sistem if you finish your bath before 3 hours, it is calculated by the entrance card, repay at the cassa). Massage: 4000.- HUF for 30 minutes.Király Bath history It is built in 1565 by turkish. It is at the Buda side of the Margaret bridge (tram 4 and 6), close to the Batthiányi tér M2 (red line) metro stop. It is obligatory to wear swimming suit. It is the only gay turkis thermal spring at Budapest. The crowd is old horny retireds, there are rumours that it is not clean, I hope you can imagine the details... Kiraly Bath photo gallery Gellért BathAddress: 11th. district, Kelenhegyi ut 4. Opening time of the swimming area: every day 6-19 (common), in summer time 6-20 (common). Opening time of the thermal bath area: Monday-Friday 6-19 (separeted for men and women), Saturday and Sunday: 6-17 (separeted for men and women).Entrance: you can enjoy all area (swimming area inside and out side, and thermal bath) with one ticket, 3100.- HUF (working a repay system if you finish your bath before 3 hours, it is calculated by the entrance card, repay at the entrance). Massage: 4500.- HUF for 30 minutes. Gellért Bath history It is next to the Hotel Gellért, at Buda side of the Liberty bridge. You can go there by bus 7, 173 and by tram 47, 49, 18. It is in a nice art nouveau building, inside the thermal part is covered by art nouveau Zsolnay tiles and statues. First opened at 1918. Thermal bath with saunas area are separeted for men and women, so you can visit every day. Wear in the thermal area: swimming wear or apron what you can get at the entrance. Very popular, nice and clean bath. Gellért Bath photo gallery Rudas bath (Turkish bath)Address: 1st. district, Döbrentei tér 9. Opening time of the swimming area: Mon-Fri 6-18, Sat-Sun 6-14. Opening time of the thermal bath area: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday only for men 6-20, Tuesday only for women 6-20. Saturday, Sunday family days 6-17. Friday, Saturday common nights 22-04.Entrance: swimming area 1500.- HUF, thermal bath 2500.- HUF (working a repay system if you finish your bath before 3 hours, it is calculated by the entrance card, repay at the cassa: 400 HUF). There is no repay system at night bath. Massage: 4000.- HUF for 30 minutes. Rudas Bath history The bath is a real 16th century turkish built. The interiour is renovated. It is at the Buda side of the Elizabeth bridge, on the bus line 7. Mon/Wed/Thu/Fri only for men! Wear in the thermal area: swimming wear or apron what you can get at the entrance. When you finished your bath you can get a linen. In the weekend you can not get this option, you have to bring a towel. So during the week you do not have to take anything with you, towel and apron is given to you, very convenient. This spa is 95% straight, lot of sports men and football fans visit, but DO NOT CRUISE them. They are homophobic, be careful. Otherwise it is one of the best thermal spa in Budapest. Rudas Bath photo gallery Cinetrip Party BudapestSometimes Cinetrip Party is organised in Friday or Saturday nights in Rudas bath. It is the best party, very uniq. Music is chill out, downtempo electronica, lounge, drum 'n base and VJs. The party is at the swimming area and the turkish bath and steam area also. You have to wear a swimming suit. Entrance is 5.000 HUF ~ 18 EUR. Cinetrip Party BudapestSzechenyi BathAddress: 14th.district, Állatkerti körút 11. Opening time every day 6-22. Entrance: you can enjoy all area (swimming area inside and outside, and thermal spas) with one ticket, 2.800 HUF (working a repay sistem if you finish your bath before 3 hours, it is calculated by the entrance card, repay at the cassa). Massage: 4.000 HUF for 30 minutes. In this bath every place is mixed for men and women, swimming dress is compulsory.Széchenyi Spas history First thermal spring opened at 1881, but the building complex was built in 1913. If you want to taste the real Habsburg-Hungarian monarchy feeling, it is the right place. It is on the M1 (yellow) metro line at Széchenyi fürdő stop. It is the biggest bath with the most services. You can have a swim otside even at winter in the thermal pool. Many different pools and thermal springs inside and outside with a big common steam sauna.
